Inaugurated on april 24th 2010 by the then opposition leader Shri Oommen Chandy, this state of art eye care centre was started by Dr Saju Joseph in memory of his father Mr T V Joseph. Phacoemulsification is a modern cataract surgery in which the eye's internal lens is emulsified with an ultrasonic handpiece and aspirated from the eye. Aspirated fluids are replaced with irrigation of balanced salt solution to maintain the anterior chamber.
Fundus Fluorescein Angiography (FFA)Installed

Fundus fluorescein angiography is a common procedure that is performed to give your doctor more information about the condition of the back of your eye. A small amount of yellow fluorescein dye will be injected into a vein in your arm. The dye travels to your eye where it highlights the blood vessels.
New Cornea Topographer Installed

Corneal topography analysis has become an indispensable tool in the evaluation and treatment of corneal disease. It is helping us understand the normal corneal shape and how it is altered in ectatic diseases, by contact lens wear, and by surgery. Topography analysis is also now being used in planning procedures to correct astigmatism and in the fitting of contact lenses.
